Dear Holger, please stop editting linguistic-mattered subjects, as you did in Wetter. In case of Limburgian, which is the language used on this Wikipedia, it is Wetter (Hesse), not Wetter (Hessen). Because the Bundesland Hessen is called Hesse, without an N, in our language. (That is the same for most German and Dutch words, Köln becomes Kölle, Preußen becomes Prüsche.--Ortjens (euverlègk) 21 okt 2015 12:27 (CEST)Reageren

Ortjens, ok, but in this case "(Hessen)" is part of the town's official name, see [1]. It is not some suffix only added for better disambiguation in Wikipedia like it would be in "Wetter (Nedersakse)". So if transcription of geographical names into Limburgian is wanted, why only for the second part, not for the complete name? Something like "Wear (Hesse)" would be more consistent, or not? (rhetorical question, not that this would make sense in my opinion, because the identity in meaning between the name and the word for weather is not proven, also see de:Wetschaft, the small river in the town, and historical records with different spellings of the town's name)
Another case: why is Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis used here, not "Ennepe-Roer krink"? I mean, for nearby places like Kölle or Aoke where specific Limburgian names really do exist, i fully understand the issue (it's also done on dewiki in some cases), but also for every smaller place more far away? It is indeed a bad argument you use, since the name Wetter has nothing to do with the metrologic term Wetter, of which the the latter one is Waer in Limburgian. But the official name could lead to a discussion. Nonetheless, on this Wikipedia we decided that we take the name of a place that is used the most; we use Los Angeles not El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula. We assume that know one says Wetter (Hessen) but Wetter. The "official" name is just there to clarify to which Wetter the name is referring, this we do too by calling it Wetter (Hesse). As soon as I will create the article, I will mention this official name though.--109.32.208.213 26 okt 2015 17:00 (CET)Reageren
